This small, luxurious, countryside inn beside the River Meuse occupies an early-20th-century mansion a few miles south of Namur. The immense rococo-style rooms have sitting areas, crystal chandeliers, wonderfully plush beds, and enormous bathrooms, while mornings start on a plant-filled, glass-enclosed terrace overlooking the river, where you’re served a breakfast made to order.
Some of the spacious rooms in this lovely 1930s mansion atop the Citadelle’s bluff have balconies and splendid views, and all have been beautifully styled with period hints amid the modern fittings. The on-site restaurant has a handsome brick-vaulted ceiling and a French-inspired seasonal menu. Even if you’re not dining here, the summer terrace is a lovely place to have a drink.
