Most travelers eat dinner near their hotel so as to avoid long drives on dark, unfamiliar roads. Christiansted has the island's widest selection of restaurants. Don't rule out Frederiksted, especially if you're out exploring the island. It has a handful of delightful restaurants.
This family-run business has used the same Danish ice-cream recipe with local flavorings since 1900. Options include flavors like almond, ginger, peanut, coconut, and pumpkin, as well as seasonal varieties like gooseberry, guava, mango, soursop, and passion fruit. You can also get delicious breakfast platters, omelets, and deli sandwiches and wraps.
This brand-new Internet café in Christiansted features coffee, lattes, and frappuccinos, plus delicious local pastries like coffee cakes, donuts, and muffins. Grab-and-go salads and sandwich wraps are a great lunch option when pressed for time.

Formerly Breeze's Restaurant, Le Cuisinier offers a fusion of West Indian and American cuisine with themed offerings throughout the week like Taco Tuesday, Sushi Thursday, and Soul Food Saturday. Try the conch in butter sauce with seasoned rice and plantain or a surf-and-turf entrée of grilled rib eye steak and a half lobster.
This beautiful courtyard restaurant serves French-inspired American cuisine. The barbecue ribs are excellent, and you can do a partially healthy offset by ordering the roasted Brussels sprouts dip and scooping it onto flatbread. Don’t skip the desserts, particularly the apple crisp topped with house-made vanilla ice cream.
Cool down with a scoop or two of local homemade ice cream from this family-run establishment. Popular flavors include Cruzan Rum Raisin, mango sorbet, Ponche Cuba with almonds, and vegan coconut. Waffle cones are made to order and milkshakes are available in a few boozy flavors.
