Grenada

Grenada's nightlife consists mainly of live music at resort hotels, a dinner theater in the countryside, a very popular street party, and a handful of nightspots. During the winter season, some resorts present a steel band or other local entertainment several nights a week.

Every Friday from 4 pm until 1 am, the town of Gouyave—the very proud hometown of 2012 Olympic gold medalist Kirani James—celebrates its deep-sea fishing heritage. Street vendors sell freshly caught fish, lobster, and other seafood cooked on open fires, as well as your favorite beverages. Local music and cultural performances make it an entertaining family event—and the place to be on a Friday night. It's about 45 minutes north of St. George's.

The students at nearby St. George's University like to "lime" (hang out) at this casual restaurant and nightspot, especially on Friday night when there's a DJ and Tuesday night when drinks are half price. Other nights, sports events on big-screen TVs in the sports bar get much of the attention, as does the menu of wood-fired pizza, burgers, wings, and cold beer.
