Simple beachside relaxation, culture and history, snorkel and dive-centered, adult-only romantic solitude, or fun family-friendly activity spots: On Curaçao you’ll find it all, including small boutique-style stays and all-inclusive full-service complexes. You'll generally find that hotels at all price levels provide friendly, prompt, detail-oriented service and clean, well-maintained accommodations, and English is spoken by staff just about everywhere. Many of the large-scale resorts east and west of Willemstad proper have lovely beaches and provide a free shuttle to the city, 5 to 10 minutes away, but there are also fine hotels right in the city center should you want to be in the heart of the action. There are also resorts in their own self-maintained neighborhoods just out of town in Santa Barbara and Jan Thiel.

Villas and Rentals. Villa and bungalow rentals are especially popular with divers and European visitors and are generally good options for large groups or longer stays. Coral Estates (www.coralestatevillas.com) has gorgeous villa homes to rent. The Curaçao Tourist Board (www.curacao.com) has a complete list of rental apartments, villas, and bungalows on its website.
