Cooper Island Beach Club
Relaxation is the focus at this small resort, but folks who want to simply swim, snorkel, or chill on the beach can also feel right at home in eight comfortable rooms with attractive recycled furniture, tile floors, and lovely sea views. Unless you go on a diving excursion, you're here to enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow guests and the yachties who moor just off the beach. The restaurant, in a large, open-sided pavilion, serves up delightful food for lunch and dinner, and some dishes include items grown right on the property. Continental breakfast is included (a full-board plan also is available). There's also an emphasis on sustainable tourism: the resort produces about 85% of its own power with solar panels, and the drinking water produced on the island also is used in the on-site brewery. But leave high-voltage items at home—the system can't handle them, although electric hair dryers are provided in rooms. The resort has Wi-Fi in public areas and guest rooms, plus public access at the boutique, coffee shop, and Rum Bar, where you will also find the largest collection of rums in the BVI.
