$$$ Fodor's Choice

After a complete renovation, this beachside restaurant, named for the secluded bay and beach just steps from the dining room, brings fresh and simple takes on Mediterranean dishes reinvented with bold Asian flavors. Much of the ingredients are locally sourced and it's often worth waiting to hear the specials of the day, as Chef Guido and his team make the most of seasonal ingredients. Floor-to-ceiling windows afford absolutely stunning views across the north shore. Make sure to try one of the inventive cocktails and leave room for the affogato dessert—it's a must.

Bailey's Ice Cream Parlor

$ Fodor's Choice

Choose from over a dozen homemade all-natural ice creams at this iconic parlor easily identified by its bright turquoise exterior. There are plenty of fun flavors for kids, including Shrek (noted by its customary green color—don't worry it tastes good!), plus classics like butter pecan and their signature Oreo sweet cream. You can also have your ice cream in a sundae, such as a Dusty Road—ice cream sprinkled with malt powder, a drizzle of chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and a cherry—or whipped into a milkshake. Take your cone and enjoy a stroll through the gardens that connect the ice cream parlor to adjacent Crystal and Fantasy Caves.

The Pink Beach Club

$$$$ Fodor's Choice

Perched a stone's throw from the ocean, the open-air restaurant located at The Loren hotel brings major tropical, laid-back vibes with its untreated wood and rope design. The menu doesn't stray too far from locally sourced ingredients, with a particular focus on fresh seafood, and changes seasonally. As it's the main restaurant at the hotel, you can indulge in freshly squeezed juices at breakfast, enjoy a post-beach lunch, or celebrate a special occasion at dinner. The restaurant's weekend brunch is also popular, so it's best to book a table in advance.

The Swizzle Inn Pub

$ Fodor's Choice

Swizzle Inn created one of Bermuda's most hallowed drinks, the Rum Swizzle: gold and black rum, triple sec, orange and pineapple juices, and bitters. This place is a local landmark, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and plenty of decent affordable pub fare. With so many pitchers of the island's national drink being consumed day and night, there's never a dull moment. Join the countless others who have left their mark over the years; it's customary to pin a business card or scribble your name on the pub's colorful walls. Breakfast is also served from 11 am on the weekends.

Tom Moore's Tavern

$$$ Fodor's Choice

Tucked away from Harrington Sound Road, one of the island's oldest restaurants occupies a 17th-century Bermuda cottage with historical charm. Tom Moore was an Irish poet who lived and wrote on Bermuda in the early 19th century, but whether you're a fan of literature or not, the sophisticated, French-influenced menu and dreamy setting amid the Walsingham Nature Reserve offer an experience to remember. Though not inexpensive, the impeccably prepared cuisine is fresh, light, and innovative, perfect for a special occasion (reservations are required). Try the traditional fish chowder, warmed and completed tableside with Bermuda's ubiquitous sherry pepper sauce and Goslings rum, but save room for one of the renowned dessert soufflés. Guests can dine in one of the five cozy rooms or, by special arrangement, alfresco on a terrace that overlooks Walsingham Bay.

Island Brasserie

$$$$

The signature restaurant of the Rosewood Bermuda resort, Island Brasserie is a classic steak house with a modern atmosphere that captures the historic vibe of the island. The menu is a celebration of international cuisine, with a large focus on steak, of course (one of their classic plates is a delectable chateaubriand that serves two), as well as locally sourced seafood. If you aren't swept away by the stunning views of the Harrington Sound, the mural of harbors by artist Gerard Henderson, originally commissioned by Pan American Airways founder Juan Trippe in the 1960s, may do the job. Dress code is resort casual, but dinner requires you to smarten up a bit.

It's hard not to be distracted by the panoramic view of Castle Harbour, but along with beautiful scenery, Sul Verde is a great spot for rustic Italian dishes and perfectly baked pizzas. There's an old-school, clubby vibe with pale blue leather banquettes and gold accents in the main dining room, but the spot to be is on the wide porch, where you can get the best views and southerly breezes coming across the Tucker's Point Golf Course.

This busy café that has been a St. George's mainstay for 20 years is known for its delicious homemade cakes and baked goods—the oversized key lime muffins, scones, and slices of cake are some of the standouts. And the hearty sandwiches, both for breakfast and lunch, round out a visit here. They are made-to-order and piled with tasty ingredients, such as the Ships Point sub, which comes with heaps of roast beef, turkey, ham, fresh coleslaw, and pickles, all on a pillowy soft sub roll.
