The PumpHouse Kununurra

$$ Fodor's Choice

Located in a former pump station on the banks of the Ord River, this local favorite is the place to watch the sunset in Kununurra. Nibble on share plates before moving inside to dine in air-conditioned comfort surrounded by the original pumps that were once a key part of the Ord River Irrigation Scheme. The menu includes offerings such as barramundi and chorizo, mushroom and truffle ravioli with homemade ricotta, and smoked boneless rib-eye chop.

The Aarli

$$

Hailed by both locals and visitors as the best restaurant in Broome, Aarli's focus is on Asian-fusion small plates, with plenty of seafood. There's a lengthy list of classic cocktails and a huge variety of Australian wines, all set within trendy interiors. But the most coveted seating in this restaurant in the leafy patio at sunset.
