The Central Coast is known for its outstanding cuisine, with Hoi An now considered a culinary destination in its own right, full of trendy restaurants, cooking schools, and hipster cafés alongside the lively street food scene in Old Town. For Vietnam’s fastest growing city, Danang, the future of the dining scene looks bright; recent years have seen an influx of design-savvy restauranteurs, inspiring bartenders, and top international chefs. While lacking in international options, Hue’s imperial cuisine is as richly diverse as the city’s past, and equally as interesting. Bun bo (a lemongrass and chili infused beef and pork noodle soup) originated here as did the "kingly table," a sociable, family-style dining experience where tables are loaded and food is shared tapas style.
