Beachfront resorts cater to the pampered traveler with spa treatments and infinity pools, while those closer to the center are near restaurants, shops, and historic sites. Better value can be had by staying in one of the many hotels and resorts situated among the rice fields and riverways midway between town and beach. Most provide free use of bicycles, and taxis are inexpensive.
If you plan to stay in town, opt for a hotel with a river view or one that offers daily shuttles to the beach.
