Fodor's Expert Review Arya Niwas

Trusted, reliable, comfortable, and probably the most efficient family-run hotel in Jaipur, the Arya Niwas has that ideal combination of convenience to the heart of the city and cushioning from its noise and chaos. It is a busy, large hotel and so loses some characteristic Rajasthani gracious hospitality, but offers good-value amenities. The large open area and adjoining café—serving excellent, home-cooked Indian and Continental vegetarian food—overlooks a well-manicured lawn and garden. Rooms are modern and well equipped, some with a small attached pantry and decently-clean bathrooms have reasonable-size showers; some have a tub. Unusually, rates here, which include breakfast, don't fluctuate with the seasons. Some rooms are non-a/c.
