9 days: Northwest or Southwest?
This month. We are trying to choose between the North (Glacier National Park, Yellowstone, Bryce) or South (Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Yellowstone). We were told that you can't do both in 9 days (choice seems to be between Montana and Grand Canyon). Suggestions? Also RV or not to RV?
Thanks

I think your choices for 9 days are: (1) Glacier N.P. and Yellowstone, or (2) Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce. You slipped Bryce into #1 and Yellowstone into #2.
IMO, choosing between these two trips is personal preference followed immediately by lodging availability at this late date. If you're seriously considering the RV, you need to look into the location and availability of overnight RV parking in all of these places. Schools are out soon, and these destinations are all extremely popular with families.

With only 9 days, I'd do Glacier & Yellowstone OR Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Bryce, Capitol Reef and Zion.
I take it you are planning on flying into one location and flying out of another. Along with higher air line ticket price, you will find renting an RV and dropping it off at another location will be very expensive, if they allow it at all. If you have to drive back then there's no way you could do both Yellowstone and Bryce in the same trip and have time to see anything. It's over 600 miles from Bryce to Yellowstone and in an RV that's one very long hard day of driving and I'd recommend doing it in two days and that would kill 4 days of your 9.
You might have better luck at finding campsites available than loging in the parks with this short notice.
I'd check around to see if what you could rent and what's available at this short notice for RV rentals, campsites or lodging.
Good luck.
