Zin Restaurant & Wine Bar

Has anyone been there? If so, is it good? My boyfriend and I will be in Healdsburg for 4 days and this is one of the places we are considering eating at.

Also, is it a fun spot to have a few drinks?

Have drinks at Barndiva and Willi's.
Willi's is also a marvelous small plates
restaurant.
My faves for dining are those, along with
Manzanita and Ravenous.
For Sushi try Sake O.

What time of year will you be here ?

Willi's is THE spot for fun and great food. Rosenblum's tasting room in the square is usually rocking each afternoon.Center Street Cafe has great breakfasts. I also had great meals at Dry Creek Kitchen and Manzanita. Funny, but I heard really mixed reviews about Zin from the locals.

We've eaten at Zin twice and enjoyed both meals. We liked Ravenous even more.

I had a horrible experience at Willi's in May. The service is unacceptable. For a place with raw bar in its name, the oysters were inedible (extremely poorly shucked). I would not recommend this. Having spoken to someone at one of the wineries, the restaurant is notorious for horrible service. I thought Zin was great--great food and wine at reasonable prices. Ravenous was good, but not as good as others suggested. In the end, I wish we had tried Cyrus, which gets outstanding reviews and comments from locals. I didn't realize you can order a la carte there. Barndiva looked like it would be good for drinks, but not food (spoke to a local who worked next door and had gone and was unimpressed).

I just ate at Willi's on Sunday evening and the service was great. Really, a very nice waitress and the drinks and food kept coming at a nice pace. We sat out on the patio and had a really good time.
