Merrilee, We love the Paris theatre and that was one of the first cinemas I went to upon arrival in NYC..so many years ago!
One year we had a big snowstorm and the Yankee introduced me (after walking through blocks and blocks of snow) to Rumplemeyers and their hot chocolate
Funny how many memories are triggered by food and scent~

Missjenna,

I think your comment about seeing a drunk "and it wasn't St. Patrick's day" makes me bristle a little bit. I find it insulting to Irish.

Scarlett, thank you! I haven't thought about Rumpelmayer's in years! In the Hotel St. Moritz on Central Park South. All those stuffed animals and the fountain. Mom took me there a few times on special occasions. Has anyone been there recently and if so, has it changed much?

I was drugged on East 57th one night and woke up in a bathtub full of ice in a HoJos on East Rutherford.

My kidneys were missing.

Jacko, my sister in law is irish. It was not meant as a racial comment about drunks and the Irish.

I mentioned that it wasn't St. Patrick's Day because the guy was dressed as a leprachaun. Only on St. Patrick's or Halloween would that costume make sense.
