When you don't speak at all and make yourself smile with your mouth tightly closed because your teeth hurt if you let the air in. Also when you have to either take your battery out or cover it with heat source if you want to get it started in the morning.

When the the cold spell finally ends, the temperature "warms up" to -10' and you walk around with your mitts off and your jacket open. We Canadians are experiencing a very long cold spell.

...when your nylon parka crackles instead of making a swishing noise and your tires go thump-thump in the morning until they warm up, thanks to the frozen flat place where they rested on the ground overnight.

(Booklady, what do you do that's book-related?)

Hmmm...when I have to change out of my bathing suit into pants...oh wait, that never happens! Sorry to rub it in here in SUNNY FLORIDA!
