Yellowstone Tours in October

After reading lots of positive opinions of Yellowstone in October I am planning to go to in the first week of October. I am going solo so I would like to join a tour (preferably camping) to explore the national park. I have trawled the internet and I am finding it difficult to find tours of any description that still run in October. Does anyone know of any/had any experience of tours that operate in October?
Thank you

I don't know about camping tours, but we were there at the middle of October, the last week a lot of the places were shutting down for the season. It snowed for two days. Brrr!!!

Good luck finding a group to join, but I'd probably opt for a cabin or room over camping at that time of year.

Yasmin,

You don't want to go camping in Yellowstone in October. Even if it's not snowing, it will be very cold at night. That's why you can't find any tours.

There are some companies who do camping tours in the western US. My cousin used to work for one and he loved it. I'm sorry I don't know the name, but I would think you could search it out on Google.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice, I guess you're right, camping in the snow doesn't sound all that fun!
The Yellowstone forum is great thank you and I'll try to google different camping companies
Thanks again!

We've camped for many years in Yellowstone in July and most nights were very cold--sometimes below freezing. I think you'll be happy to have a cabin.

October = Winter in Yellowstone. You may want to give up on the camping that late in the season.... I have seen wet snow and frost in June, July and August and 20° temps overnight in early September with water refreezing in the cooler ....
