Does anybody have any information on the Wyndham hotel in Key West? I am not sure which to choose Hyatt or Wyndham. The Wyndham seems much more reasonable but if the Hyatt is better I will choose that one.

The Casa Marina is great! But it is not right downtown. It has its own private beach right next door to a kind of neat funky public beach. The Hyatt is downtown in the thick of things and youcan walk to all the bars/restaurants at night. I'll bet they are comparable in amenities and rooms.

The beauty of Key West is that if you're staying in a good location all the sunset celebrations and most of the tourist activities and restaurants will be within close walking distance. For that reason alone, it'd be my choice to stay at the Hyatt. The beach at the Wyndham is better, but the location at the Hyatt is FAR better. I stayed at the Wyndham, and it is nice, but as the others have said, it is at the opposite end of the island from most of the tourist attractions. That said, Key West really isn't very big so we're not talking about a great distance here, but probably farther than you'd want to walk. If I were to return to Key West, I'd opt for the Hyatt because of its location.
