Oh my, what a night! My head is splitting right now. And we are doing it again tonight, just in a different location.

Houston, you have a problem!

Clemens, schmenems! Joe Crede for President! Na-Na-Na-Na! Na-Na-Na-Na! Hey, hey good-bye!

AND if that doesn't make me happy, hear this one: My youngest son has a World Series Ticket for tonight and just gave it to his oldest brother, who has lived to go to a World Series (he's our baseball pitcher)since 1983 when his heart was broken. And he also sold his Bears tickets today as well, so that he could drive my Mom and Dad to our gathering. WOW!

If the BlackHawks ever go to the Stanley Cup, Dan will have to buy him a ticket in return, because the youngest is the ice hockey player.

I KNEW we were going to score in the first even after two outs.

Picasso in Dailey Plaza sculpture is wearing his/her? (is it a dog or an antelope) Sox cap. The Lions in front of the Art Institute are wearing their huge plastic Sox batting helmets, and about 11,000 people are walking around with Ozzie Guillen masks on. This is such a blast!

Two aspirin and here we go again!

I do not think we are going to get to game 6 for our home stand seats use. But I do not care. It might be Sox in 5 now.

G0, GO, GO! White Sox! My lefty blue eyes is going to nail this one today!

YOWIE! This is bliss, baseball heaven.

My oldest son was at Game 2- and it was a lifelong dream and I am so happy for him that he went and got the game that he got.

A grand slam- "who would have thunk".

And PODZILLA kept us out of extra innings and let us come in from the rain. It's cold here today outside but not in our hearts.

We are going to remember this always.

Pettit, schmetite. Oswald is going to be the only obstacle to a sweep.

Paulie, you got to stay with us now!

That's Oswalt, I never can get those National League players' names right.

AND AAFrequentFlyer WHAT A DAY YOU HAD!

The Bears were great on defense and then the NIGHT! I hope you had plastic or heavier on and are now nice and dry and toasty somewhere. And I hope you do not have to work today.

I'm here, but it's not going to happen. LOL!

JJ, what a day in Chicago indeed! Da Bears! =D> And then just down the street to enjoy our "CHICAGO WHITE SOX"!! This is OUR time! When Paulie hit that grand slam, boy, the fans sure got a chance to shake the rain off their ponchos, ey? Unbelievable, yet totally believable. "Pod for President" today!

So, AAFlyer how about a trip report to keep this thread travel related??!! ><

swalter518, my oldest son got a ticket to Sunday night's game (GAME 2) on Saturday night on e-bay. We were all at his house for a huge party to watch and he was like an 11 year old kid, not nearly 40. He was dancing a jig for about 10 minutes.

What a game he saw! My phone rang about 5 times after Paulie hit the grand slam.

Hope you had a great time in Venice and welcome home. If we get past Oswalt, the Sox are going to sweep.

I'm glad I left my huge White Sox flag flying in MI now, regardless of the weather.

We are going to have fun at the GTG in Dec. And I'm glad you're fine and home once again for the celebrations.

Ok JJ, I assumed you were referring to Buehrle when you said this yesterday... but could it be that Podsednik has "BLUE EYES" ?? :-?

I think you are right, makai1, and I did mean Buerhle. His are very light blue- in some pictures they almost look colorless.

Don't tell anybody but about a month ago I started called Podsednik, Opie!

It's just that sometimes he has that innocent but shocked kind of look on his face- like Ron Howard used to get during the Andy of Mayberry days. Pod is not always the best player on the team, but from the start in April he has always been the most charismatic and rather "ignitable". Is that a word? Well good things spark off of him all the time- and also whenever you least expect it.

My sons think Pod is playing hurt- much worse than is reported. Maybe so, but it didn't keep him from being hitterish last night.

Two more games! Two more games!

JJ, no tickets for us but did do a drive through the city yesterday to see all the stuff-the lions, Picasso and the horses. Went early enought to get by Comisky and took tons of pictures of all the pennants, banners and other World Series stuff around the park. What fun-I almost had a heart attack last night!

I'm very proud of myself, as I have watched every pitch. My mother can't watch at all- she hides in the back rooms and only lets my Dad tell her the score.

Last night was REALLY a roller coaster, as the Astros are trying HARD. It's the World Series for pete's sake.

Save your pictures to show.

I'm glad I have a night off. I was so antsy yesterday I ended pulling in half the garden.

Yowowowowowie!

I don't think they are going to come back home to play, only with laurels upon their brows.

White Sox, White Sox, GO GO White Sox!

I do feel bad for the Houston fans... BUT love the fact that the Sox continue to play as a team... everyone a participant. It was very cool to see the entire roster last night/this am.
Hey has any team ever won the World Series by winning 2 games in ONE day??

>< Go Go White Sox

I don't know, makai1!

One of the announcers outside of the Astrodome was announcing that tonight's game will be like a double header. Hits scored after midnight last night will have the same dates.

Yippeeess!

It is interesting to see how much this series and last year have been similar (is it in the "Sox?"), but a bit closer this year. What is particularly interesting is that this may go down as one of the closest sweeps in history. Certainly lots of drama. It's not over yet though. I don't think we can ever say that after last year's playoffs.

That's for sure, Dan. I think that's why I feel so bad for Houston fans... every game has been so close and they have had many opp's to win em... but when it comes down to a 9th or 14th inning homer for the other team... aawwwwhhhhh.

Sure am glad to be rootin' for the "boys in black"! They're fun to watch... I esp. enjoy how relaxed they all are. JOY!! >-

Yes, very relaxed and never over-confident. Also Ozzie is the only one at the park or on tv that you see being emotional a lot of the time.

But I did clearly see/hear that swear from Crede when he got hit with the pitch last night. I never saw him get red and flustered like that before. But it didn't last long, even at that. I have seen Paulie throw a bat in frustration a couple of times.
