World Series Denver - HELP!

Mrlani and sistainlawlani are headin to Denver.....so jealous, although I sanctioned this trip!

Got their flights and they have a dumpy room at Super8 - 3 miles from Coor Field. HELP! Can they do this, eat? walk or cab. Game 4 and 5. Price $185 for 2 nights cancellable if there is no second night.

I will google till I drop and start again tomorrow.

How far is Coors from Denver proper and Denver airport?

Is it advisable to stay in a dump that close or is it a better value and overall better experience to rent a car, take public trans etc.

If you are from Denver and you win, and you offer hotel and overall advice that we bide by I will send you 2 live lobsters!

Thanks for any help anyone can offer. Have flown into Denver, but never hung out long enough to get the lay of the city and stadium.

It is the Denver airport that is a long way from Denver!! Coors Field is right in downtown Denver--gorgeous field!! I might guess that the Super8 is on I70--on the way into Denver from the airport. They can eat near the field--LOTS of places. Whether they can do without a car,I'm not sure. A cab to the stadium would be doable. Getting back might be more difficult to get a cab--it would take arranging.
Lucky people to have tickets!! I stayed online for 2 hours trying to get through.
Some folks who live in Denver will undoubtedly be able to help--and claim the lobsters!!
Go Rockies!!

Thanks so much. Looks like we are lucky to have a room at all within 5 miles of the Field! Denver is jammed up between this and Monday night football, but hopefully they will be flying back Monday night!

Life is good!

They were saying last night on the Denver local news, that downtown hotels are all sold out. If they've got a room, and TICKETS TO THE GAMES, then they are better off than most of us Denverites! How did you get tickets to two of the WS games?

I have a very generous, influential best friend!

Anyone know where the best bar food/ sportsbars for before and after games?

Thanks!

BIL lives in Denver near the airport. He mentioned taking the light rail to a Rockies game. Not sure where the best place to catch it is, but you could then stay in something better than a Super 8.
