Windham, New York unique celebration
Hello, We will be a family from 70 years old, a 3 and 5 year old and even a -9 month old. We will be in Windham, NY. over the 4th. It's a 50th anniversary family get-away. Looking forward to making memories. I have 3 specific questions, if anyone can help me out I would be very grateful.
1.Looking for nature oriented activities we can all enjoy. ex. is there a river where we could go tubing? Or swimming? Are there hay rides or carriage rides in the woods?
2. I'm looking for a celebration dinner that can appropriately include our 3 generations. I am thinking of something unique, not a typical restaurant. Dinner on a farm is an idea I have in mind, but with some research on my part I haven't come across anything. It also has to include vegetarian meals. I did see something about a restaurant on the top of a nearby mountain but I believe it would be quite costly for 6 adults and the children.
3. Are there any not to miss activities it would be good to know about around the 4th? Thank you very much!

Hello Madam397, We are renting a house. They haven't offered much assistance. I love Fodors for personal knowledge and experiences for off the beat kinds of things to do that don't necessarily come up in my own research online or with a list from the chamber of commerce. Finding a list of local restaurants is easy. Finding if what I am looking for is more challenging. Thank you.
