Williamsburg - Marriott's Manor Club

We are spending a few days at Williamsburg this November and are staying at the Manor Club at Ford's Colony. This is one of those deals where we have to give our 90 minutes to a timeshare speech. Has anyone stayed there - wondered about amenities and restaurants and convenience to tourist attractions?

I have reservations at the Manor Club at Ford's Colony this summer. I was unaware that we will be pressured into listening to the timeshare speech. Is listening to the speech part of your deal? I am having second thoughts now because I hate the "hard" sell and have no interest in this.

We got the time there at a reduced price, plus some other perk as part of the deal to listen to the timeshare. If you didn't have to sign a paper you probably don't have this - did you just call to make reservations?

Still waiting to hear if anyone has been there.

Yes, I just called and made a reservation. I didn't sign any paper about the timeshare promotion.

I have asked this question before. If you do a search for "Ford's Colony", it should come up. People seemed to like it.

The Manor Club is in an upscale residential area. I don't know about the rooms or amentities. Ford's Colony has the nicest restaurant in Williamsburg. Very upscale. There is also a more casual cafe that we locals miss since they closed it to resort guests and members. Ford's Colony also has very nice golf courses. You will be very close to the outlets and 10-15 minutes away from CW and Busch.
