Why won't anyone respond to my questions?

I have posted two questions to which noone has answered. I just want to know a little bit about Oahu. Any info would be great but I am looking for info on Pacific Beach hotel, business class on Canadian airlines, and finally the star cruise in Hawaii.
Please somone respond to me.
Thank-You very much.
Sb

You can answer all of your questions yourself-with he time spent posting your questions and twiddling your thumbs you could have gone into EXCITE search engine and looked it up. Type in "travel to Oahu" or hotels in Oahu- I was going to go a few months ago and found virtual websites, with pictures, everything. Found out about the various cruises, pictures of the cabins, itenaries. Its all there Shauna. the trouble with this lounge is its too spread out-they cover all of USA including Hawaiiand Alaska, which are so different, and then all of Canada, for goodness sakes, split it up.

Tricia, it's spelled h-o-r-m-o-n-e r-e-p-l-a-c-e-m-e-n-t t-h-e-r-a-p-y. Give it a try. It'll change your life. I see that can of shaving cream in your pocket.

I agree - someone should have responded. In the meantime, do use the various search engines - this will give you a framework for considering the responses. Joan: how are you? Up to the same old, same old? Try to be nice.

This is in response to Tricia.
I thought this sight was for asking help and getting personal views from others on the web. We can all go to the web sights and get general info, but this is no replacement for personal experiences. I would think the web sights for Pacific Beach Hotel for instance is not going to tell you if the rooms are run-down.

Jan, I agree. Checking out the websites, is only a perfunctory action for generalized information. Nothing beats getting personal hands on advice from people who have actually traveled to and stayed at the places in question. Tricia and Joan lighten up,if you have a suggestion post it, otherwise stop taking jabs at each other. This site is a great information tool and people shouldn't be afraid to ask a question because they think they are going to be "dumped on" by other participants.

You guys don't get it. The girl is posting here for the third time and you are all sympathetic to her but did you help her! No! So I finally come in here and basically tell her to get off her duff and help herself and you all cry, including Fodors and including Joan. I will not fight with Joan. She can chase me all she wants. I still don't see anyone posting any "so called wonderful personal info on Kaui". She could go back several months worth and find old questions on it. I did, but I didn't send them up on purpose. 80%25 of the people in this world want everything given to them- no one is willing to work. And when they cry everyone comes to their defense. Too bad. People need to wake up. And if you have some info on Kaui please help her. I found beautiful websites and made my decisions based on that and a personal conversation with nurse in my doctors office. I didn't sit in here crying "help me.. please.."

Shauna, when no one answers on this forum, it shouldn't be taken personally. The chances are that people simply don't have the information you're looking for. They haven't used that hotel, that airline, or that cruise line. Keep asking (as well as doing further research on your own) since visitors here are more likely to read the questions near the top of the listings than those that are allowed to drop down several days' worth. And the more people who see your inquiries, the better your chances are of getting a helpful response. Good luck.

Once again the travellers' policeman has to intervene in a problem posting. Most of the postings at this Site are pretty good. Then you get the "help me, help me" people." (You have to picture Olive Oyl calling out to Popeye.) Shauna falls somewhere in between, although with an E-mail name of Weezer she is either: 12 years old, has asthma or is terminally adolescent. Tricia is right (this time) there are all these do-gooders out there who rush to help and give absolutely no information whatsoever. Verdict: Shauna, go to Barnes and Noble*, go to the travel section, read all the books on Hawaii for free. Then come back to the Internet and ask specific, intelligent questions that you can get real answers to.
*a library is good too.

We just returned from Hawaii. We didn't stay at the Pacific Beach Hotel but we did have breakfast at their restaurant, the Oceanarium. The Oceanarium has a tropical fish tank that spans two stories. Their Hawaiian pancakes-banana, macadamia nut, and pineapple were terrific, and it was fun to look at some of the fish we had seen snorkeling. Hawaii is beautiful no matter where you stay!

First---Brian and Joan----both of you are jerks---This is not the aol chat lines. Have a problem with this--EMAIL ME and keep it off the B-board.

Second--to the poster- If no one answers, post again--during busy times, your post will get sent to the bottom. Post again or post to your own message to send it to the top. Sometimes very specific posts do not get answers before they are forced to bottom-----Have fun ! ! ! !

Why are people using this site for their petty grievances, disputes, etc.?? Are you all losers??!?

This message is to Fodors as well to keep an eye on the site. When I wrote a couple of months ago about the porno on the site it was cleaned up almost immediately. The same should go for this.
