Why the warning?

All of you out there who question the prudence of the FBI issuing this latest warning must not be from New York. I live here and work here and want every bit of information I can get. I'm not scared, but want to have something to go on if I have to make a quick decision. All this warning means to me is that we should be on our toes a little more than we already are, and I think we all need to know that stuff.

To Katie,
Im so sorry that you saw terrible things on 9/11. I can't imagine what that must have been like, its hard enough to watch it on tv for me here in vancouver, canada. Our thoughts are with you and everyone that witnessed terrible things in New York that day. From your neighbors and friends in Canada.

IMO, the public should know there are warnings so they can be on the lookout for things out of the ordinary, like Ryder Trucks parked where they shouldn't be, suspicious, nervous looking people and so they can rely on their intutition -if something doesn't feel right or look right it probably isn't.

The result of people being on their toes and looking out for so called suspicious activities when they are not trained to do so has just resulted in paranoia.Because of this the FBI and other federal agencies get thousands of calls a day that they cannot possibly follow up on and that are really unfounded. The FBI does not want every one to be calling in with their paranoid ramblings because they are on overload and cannot handle the call volume.I saw an FBI director talking about this on CNN a couple of days ago.FYI
