Whick days for which theme parks?

Will be in Orlando from 13 Dec (Thur) -17 Dec (Mon). Would like to go to Magic Kingdom, Disney MGM, Universal and Islands of Adventure. Checked that Sat is the only day that MK has the Spectromagic parade. Is Sat really crowded there? And which park should I do on which day?

You are going at the supposedly least crowded time of the year but even so I think that the MK gets really crazy for that parade. Exiting the park can be a nightmare. But the 2 times I've been crazy enough to be at the MK on a Saturday and try to leave the park after the parade I was directed by the park staff to an alley behind the shops on Main Street and was able to leave relatively quickly. If you are at Cinderella's Castle looking down Main Street the alley is behind the stores on the left. It won't always be open - only at designated times. For more info on crowds etc check out wdwinfo.com.

I would get a current copy of "Disney with Kids". We used it when we went to Disney and followed it's advice to the letter to avoid crowds and see the things we really wanted to see. It was a Huge help! Tells which days are most crowded, which attraction to see first before it gets busy, etc. Have fun!

That's a pretty ambitious schedule for the number of days you're there. If you have to skip one of the parks, I recommend MGM. I like Universal and Islands of Adventure much better - but don't go to IOA if you don't LOVE roller coasters!

There's a lot more to IOA than just roller coasters. There are really only three big coasters. The rest of the park is fantastic too. However, if you do like coasters, you're in for a real treat.

Hi Ellie,We just got back from Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure on Dec 1-5th and found the crowds at both parks light. We had a five minute wait tops. Both parks are lots of fun!Definitely do both if you can. The lifeguard at the Hard Rock Hotel says the place gets packed up to 2 weeks before Christmas?!! They was hardly anyone there when we went. Good Luck and Have Fun!!!!
