My wife and I will be going to Vegas for 3 nights in late June and are having trouble deciding between 3 hotels: Ceasars Palace, Mirage, The Hotel at Mandalay Bay and Paris.

Here are the different prices for 3 nights:

Ceasars (Tower Deluxe Room) $550.00 Total

Mirage (Tower Deluxe Room) $537.oo Total

Paris (Premier View Room) $450.00 Total

The Hotel At Mandalay Bay: $517.00 Total

Okay so which is the best one for the money. Any help would be appreciated.

The Hotel is probably the best hotel room of the bunch (and newest) though that needs to be weighed with the fact it is at the end of the strip while the others are what would be best descibed as "in the middle" of the action. Had a friend stay in one a couple of months ago and liked it.

From a Paris Premier View room I believe you'd have a view of the Bellagio Fountains. That would do it for me! And you can't beat the location.

I haven't seen these rooms, but I'm almost certain that there was a trip report within the last few months of someone who paid (maybe $60/night) to upgrade to this room from a standard room. I think she said it was on a special floor with free food and drinks at times. I'll go see if I can find it and post it if I do.

Can't comment on the other rooms, but THEHotel rooms are very nice, BUT, if this is your first trip to Vegas, very far from the "mid-strip" area.

I was there last weekend and it skewed a little bit younger and rowdier that weekend.....we jokingly dubbed it a dorm (although the rooms are certainly NOT dorm like....very nice suites)

While there are trams to the Luxor/Excalibur, (from Mandalay Bay) and then a walkway to the MGM and the monorail....you still do lots of walking to get to the "mid-strip" area...

Personally, I'd go with Caesar's or Mirage. These are my two favorite Vegas hotels because they are right in the middle of the action. If that is the Palace Tower at Caesar's, definitely go with it!

Thanks for the reply's. I think we will go with the Palace Tower room at Ceasars' since it has a jacuzzi for two, which should be pretty nice for me and the wife. Plus the pool at Ceasars looks pretty nice.

We stayed at Mandalay Bay for our 2003 for our convention. It was very nice.

I am trying to get in the new one this year Wynn? If we can't get in there it will be Mandalay again or Luxor. We will be there the end of June also.

Manadalay's service and staff were all very nice and courteous, and our room was very nice.

It's funny... you asked for opinions and nobody picked your choice of Ceasers.

I would have also voted for the Hotel.

Well, just to shake things up I'll offer a Caesar's vote. The rooms are very nice and the pool is quite popular during the summer. Have stayed at each hotel except the Paris. If the pool is important, after the MB the best pool scene is Caesars. As mentioned above, the Mandalay Bay is great but a bit far removed from the central strip if you are a first time visitor, but the pool is the best of each hotel.

For what it's worth: after staying at the MGM and walking thru, oh, the Venetian, Bellagio, Paris, NY NY, and Ceasar's, we agreed we'd like to stay at Ceasar's next time. Part of our party went to a concert at the Mandalay Bay and said that while the hotel is lovely, it's not as Vegas-y as the others--for better or for worse. And its location adds to the sense of being removed from the high glitz of the mid Strip. Enjoy your trip, ronnieh!

Decisions, Decisions. This is actually my 5th time to Vegas. Stayed at the Monte Carlo twice, Luxor, and Mirage. My wife likes to shop so I think staying at Ceasars is good choice since she will have to Forum shops and then the shops at the Venetian close by. While she's doing that, I can relax at the pool.

I would go with the Tower Deluxe Room at the Mirage. I am a big fan of the Mirage (and TI ). The Tower Deluxe rooms at the Mirage are on two of the upper floors (24 and 25, I think) and have their own set of elevators. Most of these rooms would qualify as having premiere views as far as I’m concerned. The rooms also have a Jacuzzi.
I like the amenities at the Mirage, too, although I wish they had an ultralounge or nightclub… I can always head next door to Tangerine at TI or across the street to Vivid at the Venetian for that though.

I'm not a fan of Caesar's as a whole, but from your list, Caesar’s has the most to offer under one roof. The room price seems high compared to your other options. It looks like you’ll be set to have fun wherever you are though.
