Which is closer to SEATAC?

We will be landing at SEA at 7:45 am enroute to Victoria, BC. Should we decide to take a Kenmore seaplane, which terminal would be closer: Lake Union or Boeing Field?

I would also appreciate information on transportation to the terminal from the airport (taxi, shuttle, etc.) and approximate costs.

A Clipper Ferry leaves Seattle Pier 69 at 8:45 am, but I'm sure there's no way we could make that connection. Am I correct?

Boeing Field is closer to SeaTac airport than Lake Union.

No, 1 hour is not enough time to land, deplane, get out of the airport, and then up to Pier 69 on the waterfront downtown. I suppose it is technically possible if you have no checked baggage, run out of the airport and hop the 1st taxi, but it would be extremely tight.

Yellow cab has a posted standard rate of $28 from downtown hotels back to the airport.

But the taxi company that has monopoly leaving SeaTac (Stita) are a bit more expensive. I usually give ~$35 SeaTac to Capitol Hill, which is similar distance to the waterfront.

Kenmore doesn't fly from Boeing Field (wheel operations) to Victoria (floats), only from Lake Union or Kenmore (north end of Lake Washington, quite far from downtown and Sea-Tac.) So Lake Union is basically your only choice.

Figure around $30 cab fare from SEA, although ask Kenmore about shuttle services - I think they're offered.

For the Clipper: Ontime or early plane arrival, hand carry bags only, first in line at taxi queue, no morning rush hour traffic (assume weekend, otherwise fuggedabouddit) taxi driver with death wish, congenial/slow/whatever at the Clipper dock.... well, maybe you could make the boat.

Or, short answer, no way.

Thanks Suze and Gardyloo. Since Boeing Field was an option on Kenmore's website, I guess I assumed they flew from there to Victoria. The next ferry out appears to be at 3:15 pm. Hate to lose all that time, but that may be our best alternative. Back to the drawing board!
