Which Disney World resort: Caribbean Beach or Polynesian?
My husband & I will be taking a first-ever trip to Disney World in April with our two children ages 5 & 7, and are looking for input on these properties. The Caribbean Beach seems like a quieter resort to escape the crowds in the parks, and the pool looks perfect for my kids. However, the Polynesian seems convenient with the monorail, the proximity to fireworks, and I also like the fact that it has bigger beds. Any insight on these resorts would be appreciated.

There is no contest here...the Plynesian for sure.
We have stayed at the Caribbean Beach and having to take the WDW bus back and forth was a pain. The bus was always full when we came back to the resort in the evening and having to stand on a crowded bus when you're tired is no fun.
The Polynesian is so convenient to everything. With two young children that would be my choice.

Also agree that Polynesian is better choice. Quick access via monorail is a godsend, especially if you decide you want a quick trip back/from hotel.
Also suggest you check on concierge level. We found the extra amenities very nice and not much more than regular room when you take into account what's included - breakfast, snacks and wine for afternoon happy hour, early passes to park, great views of fireworks from the reception room, much less hectic, etc.
