Where to stay in Vegas?
My family and I are going to Vegas in June. We will be spending our first 5 days at Mandalay Bay then we are going to Laughlin and the Grand Canyon for 3 days. We can't decide between these hotels: Bally's, Harrahs, Treasure Island, Rio Suites, and NYNY for our last 3 days in Vegas when we get back from Laughlin.
Which has the best pool? Are they kid friendly? We have a 15 year old son. Is it worth it to stay at the Rio even though its off the Strip? We were in Vegas in 1997 and saw all these hotels except Mandalay Bay. We saw the Rio's pool at night it looked really nice with sand, waterfalls, and lagoons. We will have a rental car. Thanks for your help.

Hi-
With a 15-yr-old in tow, I would say stay at NYNY. They have a great kids rec area with all the fun "hands on" races, downhill skiing, etc action-video arcade games. you know, the kind that kids can do but us adults are too uncoordinated? But beware, he'll probably require as much moola as mom and dad might spend in the casino. Bally's, Harrah's and Treasure Island are adult (gaming) playgrounds...but he'll still love to see these places; especially the battling ships at T.I. For more information visit: www.e-vegas.net/exchange and read the articles and reviews there. For gambling information and reviews, click on THE VEGAS VISITOR (that's me) and read my posts. Thanks and have fun in L.V.!!

well my little brother (15) loves the Luxor- lots of interactive stuff, hours of fun. Plus there is a moving walkway linking it to his second choice, Excalibur. The basement of Excalibur is set up carnival style with games, motion rides and an arcade.
