I can't recommend a specific place in St. Augustine, but if you're thinking of staying at St. Augustine beach, be forewarned that much of the "beach" is only large rocks. There are stretches of sandy beach, but you have to ask the hotel how the condition of their beach is.
We got stuck in the rocky area a couple of years ago (Days Inn), but had a great time hanging out in the historic district. It's a lot of fun.

St. Augustine is our favorite city. In December, the city sponsors a tour of B&B's in the area. We toured 16 of them last year. Our favorite was the St. Francis Inn. It is on a very quiet street in a very old section of town. Email me if you want the web address

Best bet is, call a Property Mgm't Co. and rent a condo for a week.
There are many condos on St. Augustine Beach, a wonderful sandy beach.
I just remembered a great condo...Summerhouse Beach Condo...1-904-471-1503 It is the last building on the beach ...next door to a National Park....great location with several pools on the ocean. They have weekly rentals.

We go to St. Augustine every summer in fact this will be our 8th summer. We always stay on the island (St. Augustine Beach Ocean and Racquetball. Beach is great, gated property, 2 pools, 5 hot tubs, tennis, racquestball, fitness area. The island has alot of fun open air restaurants, entertainment, minature golf and ice cream shops. Downtown St. Augustine is wonderful, great restaurants, antique stores carriage rides along with sooooo much history. This is a great place to summer vacation.
