Looking for somewhere not to expensive to stay in Naples mid Feb. Have 3 kids and looking for villa or apartment. Have come up with Park Shore or private Villas at Briarwood or Maplewood. Anyone stayed here before?

Brairwood (off Radio Road?) and Maplewood are way out from the beach and anything else you are likely to want to do. I'd probably opt for the Park Shore Resort. We did a rather lengthy thread on this recently with Park Shore Resort in the title. You might try a search for comments on that, but not sure how well the search is working these days.
There is also a Charter Club which is an interval ownership type place that does rentals, not sure of the rates, but I'm sure they have a website. Pretty hard to rent good private apartments in February without a one to three month minimum and I'm guessing that isn't what you're looking for.

World tennis Center & resort is very nice place. It is affiliated with Interval International, but you can still rent a week there. Thanks for the help. Briarwood is off Radio Rd, how far out is that? The prices are pretty good. Whats the Charter Club location like? Any comments on the Naples Beach Hotel or Edgewater? Will look at Tennis Center. Thanks again. Any other recomendations much appreciated. May also consider Marco area.

Briarwood is east of the airport past a rather large industrial area (this doesn't mean however, that it is a bad area). I would allow at least a half hour to drive to the beach or 5th Avenue downtown, up to 45 minutes if traffic is bad, which in February it probably will be.
The Charter Club is a great location on the bay -- 8 or 9 blocks from the beach, near several restaurants, and about 5 blocks to either 5th Avenue South or 3rd Street South.
Naples Beach Hotel is a large "convention" type hotel right on the beach with the best or most close in location of any beachfront place in the entire area. Although they've been doing major renovations which appear to be completed, it is usually suggested that you check carefully for what your accomodations will be as they have a number of different buildings and different type rooms. The Edgewater is a wonderful upscale, but smaller place just a few blocks north of the Beach Hotel right on the water also. It is the nicest of all the places you have mentioned and priced accordingly.

Update on Naples Beach Hotel and Resort where we just stayed.

The renovations continue. We were in the main building. The day we arrived I could hear power tools and came across men laying hallway carpet and employees cleaning the baseboards in their wake. Recent drips of caulking from around the ceiling had dried on the tub. Yet the wall was dirty with some scuff marks. The blanket or spread smelled of suntan lotion.

Otherwise the room with small balcony and service was as expected. Food was just OK and somewhat pricey. Restaurant staff was slow, but all staff were extremely polite, imported from various eastern European countries it seems. I didn't use the pool, but it was popular. Extra charge for beach chairs, umbrellas, etc.

The city was trucking sand up the beach and bulldozing it on two days. Sort of strange to be lying on the beach with dump trucks driving along.

We did not ask/pay for view and got a second floor room that faced the ocean, but over the roof of the restaurants. We met someone who had paid to ensure an ocean view and were a floor above us--they were irritated about the view of the roof with the assorted items collected there.
