Where to go?

My husband and I are looking for somewhere to go on vacation. It will probably be in August, almost September. We have been a ton of places together, but have not been able to have time together because of our kids. This is our kind of honeymoon. We want to be able to have adult fun (alcohol of course) but also relax in a nice room and see the sites. Anyone have any ideas? We keep looking..He mentioned Denver. I looked and it seems ok..anyone have anything to tell me that it's better than ok? It does have a lot of different things to offer and plenty of relaxing places to go. we like to have fun, and we want to be able to enjoy each other after 5 years of work, school, and our babies. He is coming home from Iraq and we need something to help him relax and have fun.

Denver is nice - good restaurants, things to do, Rocky Mountain National Park not too far away, etc. If you like baseball, check to see if the Rockies will be in town.

How about San Francisco? It's one of my favorite cities.

Or Santa Fe?

What kind of sites do you like to visit and what activities do you both enjoy?

How long is your vacation and where are you flying from? Do you want something in the western part of the US or are you open to anywhere? Also what is your budget for hotel rooms?

If you enjoy the outdoors, Denver would be great. I like Lee Ann's ideas of either San Francisco or Santa Fe. Have you been to both of those places and want to go someplace new?

For me if I was looking to have a "honeymoon" type of vacation, I'd prefer someplace with a beautiful view (either mountains or beach) and maybe less of a city setting. What about someplace like Sedona?

Another thought. What about the Pacific Northwest? Seattle is beautiful as is Victoria. You could even go up into Vancouver.
