vermont drive
Could someone please suggest a great route heading south from Stowe. I'll will be going up to Stowe on Route 12 from Woodstock. Please tell me some towns that I shouldn't miss. I love the scenery, not necessarily the shopping. Thanks

Hey DFrostnh,
I am so glad that you responded to one of my questions. I've been reading lots of different replys from you. You have such wonderful advice. I do have a question for you (I can tell you know the area sooo well)This will be our first time visiting Vermont. Please give me some highlights as what not to miss. Please give me some areas to visit along with great restaurants. Thanks so much and I hope to hear from you! My email address is [email protected] if you would like to email me. Thanks!

I also reccomend south on 100. I think
Warren is a nice, although tiny, New England hamlet. If you're there around
lunch time I strongly reccomend getting a sandwich at the great little general store there. Very classic. Just sit on
one of the old tables inside or grab a
taable outside next to the running water
. Classic New England, I always bring my midwestfriends there.

Here's a couple of nice drives north of Stowe:

Maybe they'll make the traffic more bearable south of Stowe!
