Where to Eat in Downtown Atlanta?
My husband and I will be in Atlanta for 1 night in February and are staying at the Atlanta Marriott Downtown. We chose to stay in this hotel because of their good aquarium package. Any restaurant recommendations near the Marriott? We are in our early 30's and enjoy semi-trendy restaurants with good food and a vibrant atmosphere. I have read lots of reviews about mid-town being a good place to eat/go out. Are there any good restaurants/bars in our area?

If you're into seafood, Ray's Downtown www.raysrestaurants.com is a suggestion. It's only a block or two away...an easy walk. A couple of blocks north is Cladys Knight's place www.gladysandron.com , and is a good choice too.
If you're into Southern food, you can try Pitty Pat's Porch a downtown favorite for over 40 years www.pittpatsrestaurant.com but I would recommend the short cab ride over walking.

My favorite restaurant in Atlanta happens to be downtown. Dailey's. You can walk through the Peachtree Center mall, exit the International Street doors and Dailey's is across the street (a bit up the hill). There's a bar downstairs and GREAT food upstairs. The most amazing dessert bar that ever existed is at Dailey's. I take out-of-town folks there all the time for business meals and there has never been a complaint - and everyone is wowed by the desserts. They have the best french onion soup I've ever had. It's a bit pricey.
For most casual and fun, then Mama Ninfa's in on your right. The original one is in Houston. Great Tex-Mex food.
A bit more trendy perhaps is Azio's which is right there too.
3 options near one another - and you barely have to walk "outside". The Marriott is connected by walkway/bridges to the Peachtree Center complex.
