I thought the OP was planning a trip for this Thanksgiving. I offered my opinion regarding the list and then added a post with more suggestions for Savannah. My post included a link to an event that is unique and also a fundraiser for environmental studies. It usually happens once a year, but not always.
Then I read this from the OP -
"I compiled the list but the language is from websites, etc. I'll be eating a turkey dinner at Perkins (lol)."
When I read the OP planned to stay at home for Thanksgiving and was just "compiling" info from "websites, etc." I had two thoughts -
1) One I wish he had shared that info.
2) My post may cause extra work for the non-profit hosting the event. Random calls coming in in the future - maybe weeks, months or years later. Not only would have the date of the event passed but why cause headaches for the non-profit?
Hence my request to have my post removed.
I, too, am not a fan of someone compiling lists and not providing citations. Sure, they can. I have no interest in participating. If I were curious enough, I'd plug his text into TurnInIt and find exactly where the plagiarized info is from. I don't care enough to do that. Just knowing what he is doing is enough for me to avoid future posts.

Mme- Your Oaxaca Thanksgiving sounds lovely.
We will be in Pismo Beach, Ca camping with the family. I plan on taking some Long Beach walks.
FWIW Nevada city is a beautiful town but the restaurant mentioned has permanently closed and was located in Grass Valley.
Both towns do have a Victorian Christmas or Cornish Christmas celebrations that are held from the day after Thanksgiving up until Christmas.

The 'Nevada City' restaurant and 'Thanksgiving' Cornish Fair bit in the OP just illustrates s/he doesn't know many of the places she recommends. I take most of the OP's post with a grain of salt . . .
