Staying at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel and would like to pick up a couple of woven beach mats when we get there. Flying into Kahului. Is there a good place to find them fairly cheap? Or should we just look at Whaler's Village?

I remember when they cost 99 cents at drug stores near the beaches and they still sell them in those places but not at that price, unfortunately.

I would think you can get them at any local ABC Store.

There are Walmart, Target, Home Depot and Lowe's stores, all within about 2-3 miles of the airport and on your way to Kaanapali.

There's also an ABC Store in Whalers Village in Kaanapali.

There is a Costco with a gas station within 3 miles of Kahului (OGG). The gas station has the lowest price per gallon on all of Maui.

Thanks, everyone-- great info. I did look up the ABC stores and the mats were listed for $4.99, which seems reasonable to me. I knew Fodorites would be the best sources!
