Where do I stay when I am tired of the mouse?
Message: Hi Everyone,I booked a trip to California a few months ago and got such great advice, and had a blast,so I thought I'd try again.I am married with a five year old and want to plan a trip next winter(I'm a little early), with a few days in Disneyland and about a week in a nice town around that area. After staying in Palm Springs ( Which I loved)I was wondering what other cities you would recommend.I want warm weather in Jan/Feb, great food ,shopping, and a beautiful town. Any ideas? Thanks Kelly

If you like Palm Springs you might like Del Mar........(both towns were the favorites of Mr. Desi Arnaz).
Jan and Feb are generally rainy and cool, Del Mar sometimes gets a little less rain than elsewhere. I would not go expecting warm weather at that time of year but you might get lucky.

If its warm weather you're after stick to Palm Springs. No guarantees over near the coast.
However - I still think I'd go to Del Mar,Solana Beach, La Jolla, Laguna Beach or perhaps Santa Monica.
We took a trip last winter to Scottsdale Arizona and like it there.
