Where did you travel in 2005 what was your best trip and what are your plans for 2006?

2005
Alaska (we return there every year)
Ottawa, Canada
Paris (twice)
White Sands National Monument
Carlsbad Caverns
Gadaloupe Mountains (short stop for two hikes)
Death Valley
Cat Island, Bahamas

Every trip was fantastic this year but we loved our trips to Mauritius and Death Valley so much that we would like to return to both places in 2006.

2006
Mauritius
Death Valley
Cayman Islands
Paris
Alaska
Charleston, SC
Arches and Canyonlands in Utah
Florida Panhandle

I would like to add that after posting similar message last year and reading your responses we decided to travel to White Sands, then to Death Valley and are planning Utah parks in 2006. So thank you and hope to get more great ideas from you

I have no plans for 2006 that isn't work related travel.

Mr.GoTravel is taking on a huge project which will limit our travel not to mention I get no vacation time until 2007.

Bah Humbug.

2005

Hollywood/Beverly Hills/Santa Monica
Las Vegas (twice--once with my husband and once with the kids)
Durango, Colo. (gorgeous!)
Denver (several times)
Rapid City/Black Hills
San Antonio (twice-once in July with my daughter and then again this coming week with the entire family)
Montana (for my grandma's funeral--not a fun trip)

2006
The only thing I know for sure is a trip to Chicago in April and lots of soccer trips for my son to Colo., Wyo, Neb. and South Dakota. Oh yes, hopefully a trip to North Carolina in October with my mom.

2005: Barbados and New Hampshire for vacations, plus two long weekends in Massachusetts and one in Florida. Barbados is far and away one of my favorite places (everything else was really visiting family).

2006: I'm lobbying for a week in London in the late spring for our daughter's first trip to Europe. We will go back to NH this summer (it's my in-laws summer house - my husband has spent time there every summer his entire life). Other than that, we will have to wait and see.

BTW, thanks to the person who topped this same message for the 2004-2005 year. I love these postings, they are some of my favorite ones of the entire year. So much fun seeing where everyone has been and is going. Quite a bunch of world travelers!

Boston (I live in the Boston area but we stay overnight so it still counts in my book).

2006 is likely to bring even less travel but we do have a few plans...

Boston
The Hamptons
