where are there less kids...Scottdale or Palm Springs/Desert

Over Easter break, husband and I would like some R&R, without the "camp like" atmosphere. Will spend a few days in Santa Fe, and then would like to relax in the warm weather realxation for a few more days. Any suggestions after Santa Fe would be appreciated.

If you play golf or just want to lie around a pool, Palm Springs is fine. Otherwise, my wife and I think it's kind of boring (We're in our 50s but active). And we were unimpressed with the restaurants -- and we picked three that were highly recommended.
Scottsdale has more shopping and better restaurants plus golf, swimming pools, etc. There is a great Indian museum in nearby Phoenix. You can even drive to Sedona for the day.

Depending on which route you take the drive is roughly a 7 hour drive. Quite doable. Plus you get to see some of the most beautiful country! Do you have a hotel picked out in Scottsdale? Thereis plenty to choose from!
