Wheat Ridge/Denver - I- 70 - Traffic going East

We are trying to decide to stay one night in Wheat Ridge or Aurora. How is the traffic early 6-7 am from Wheat Ridge going East or should we try to reach Aurora and spend the night and miss the am traffic?

What are driving? If it's a covered wagon, you may want to try to get to Aurora. If you have a car it takes about 20 minutes to get there from Wheatridge at 6 AM. Personally, I wouldn't spend a night in either place. Why not stay in Denver?

My suggestions would be to stay in Wheatridge. Aurora has many areas that are not very desirable.

Traffic on eastbound I-70 can be very busy on weekdays. If you drive the speed limit, it would be a 30 to 40 minute drive to south east Aurora from Wheatridge. If you just need a place to sleep, I would stay in Wheatridge.
