What's your poison & what are your Holiday Plans ?

Having a few people over on Saturday to help reduce my wine cellar as we are moving on the 16th. Other than that small requiem, we will be packing all weekend.

We're visiting my parents. So this weekend, the poison is my Dad's homebrewed beer.

He makes beer all summer and then we drink it all winter (it's a good system). He has some great oatmeal stouts and hazelnut brown ales.

Cheers.

My family is going across Kachemak Bay in search of the giant blueberry.

I love the seaspray and many birds on the rocks along the way, should be a photo bonanza.

No poison planned.. I need to get strict with myself as summer comes to a close..happy weekend, J.

We now have many, many (many) cases of wine around the house due to our party that was not to be (thanks Ernesto). I guess we'll have to get that corkscrew working.... hiccup.....

:-? Wasn't that "Babe"?

My friend gave me the entire collection of "Have Gun-Will Travel" on DVD.

Classics...and they would NOT fly at all on current TV!

Hmmmmm....wine, cheese and a Richard Boone film fest this weekend?

You are certainly welcome but we are right on the water and I have a distint feeling you will need a boat to get to my house should the coastal flooding be as bad as the big, bad meteorologists predict..... I will tip my glass to all of you this evening!

LOL, again!, GoT... I believe they are the toes of giant chees. Did you get original or fire? Fire, like habanero Doritos, are almost too hot to eat. Almost. I find dipping them in cream cheese soothing to the palate.

Tonight I'm meeting my friend for "wining"--our little periodical b*tchfest. Actually, we used to whine when we worked together, now it's mostly her because I'm so happy at my current job. But I still enjoy it because hearing her makes me feel so grateful to not be at the real estate company anymore.

I will not be traveling this weekend, but my old car will be moving to the Big Island!!!

AnneMarie_C,
Of course the habanero Doritos are the healthiest. They have real, honest to goodness plant products in them...I think...or, have they come up with chemical chili peppers too? And, I think you're right. Cream cheese is the perfect chaser! So, what is the appropriate beverage? Inquiring minds want to know.

Oh honey dear, AnnMarie - you are truly a Southern lady, dipping your Doritos in cream cheese. Why, never in my life had I ever heard of such a thing until I moved to Texas. Went to a luncheon once and they served this chunk of cream cheese with some sort of spicy sauce poured over it - oh lordy, what a treat!

Now, are those habanero chips available at HEB?
