construction at Oahu hotels in Sept?
I am planning an Oahu vacation for September with my husband and 3 year old son. I know there is a lot of construction going on on Waikiki. I am looking at splitting time between Turtle Bay and the Moana Surfrider. I read there is construction at the Moana with a new beachfront spa going in by 2008. Should I look at another hotel? I'd like to avoid vacationing in a construction zone for that price!
Also, how does a 4 day Turtle Bay/5 day Waikiki split seem? We are excited to take my son to all the fun sites around Waikiki mixed with some R&R and some golf for my husband.
Thanks!

Moana Surfrider is a lovely hotel, hopefully they would be honest with you about the construction schedule. Why not call and ask?
Want to mention, I love the restaurant the Banyon Veranda there, one of the best meals ever in Waikiki. Make the reservation at sunset.

I haven't seen work going up at the Sheraton this week. They are turning into a W. I can't imagine where the spa could go...will have to look that up.
I would split the time because those areas are like two different vacations. The 3 year old will like Turtle Bay better because of the pool!
