What to do near Burlington VT
we are staying about 45 minutes south of Burlington, vt on lake Champlain for a week in a few weeks and are wondering if anyone can make any suggestions of things to see/do.
We are a family of 4 including a 17yo son and an 11.5yo son.
Thanks

Explore Burlington waterfront and nature center.. There is a great bike path in Burlington along the lake.
Take a ferry across the lake and back from Essex.
Visit Lake Placid and the Olympic sites across the lake.
Eat on Burlington's Church St., a pedestrian way.
Hike Mt. Mansfield or Camel's Hump.
Search for the Lake Champlain Monster, Champ.

Ausable Chasm is on the other side of Lake Champlain via the ferry.
Second the swimming holes. Do a google search. The one we found is maybe too far south (just outside Bristol) but had a small waterfall and ledges from which big kids were jumping into a deep pool. Great place for a picnic.
Visit Pizza on Earth for a very unusual pizza place (Charlotte but you need really good directions to find it)
Check ski areas for mountain biking and zip line possibilities.
