There are only a few things to do in Key West - luckily, diving and shopping are two of them! The best scuba diving is actually 30 miles up the keys at Looe (prounounced like the name Lou) Key, the best coral formations in the US. There are also nice sites off Key West but nothing like Looe Key.Check out Captain's Corner Dive Shop in Key West and tell Leslie that Celeste sent you! Duval Street in Key West is nothing but bars, restaurants, and shopping. Don't miss Fast Buck Freddie's for great shopping. Eat at Louie's Backyard and Marquesa if you can - stay away from any restaurant on the boulevard! If you can pay $200-250 per day, stay in a one bedroom suite (with jacuzzi, full kitchen and free breakfast) at the Ocean Key House, Zero Duval Street. It's heaven!

Key west is really a fun and interesting place. Dont miss the cemetary tour, Truman 's vacation home tour in Truman Annex which is a wonderful area to stay in and very close to Old Town. I would not miss the restaurant Peppi's for dinner( a favorite of the locals) or the Blue Heaven for breakfast. The sunsets of course at Mallory Square, the street performers, a sunset sail on a catamaran or a cheeseburger at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. Have fun.

If you need a place to stay I have a 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath house on Summerland Key. Looe Key Reef is about 4.5 miles out. We have a deep canal behind house so you can rent a boat or bring your own. Big Pine Key is about 15 minutes away, there is Key deer there. Key West about 25 minutes from my house. All new appliances added, washer/dryer, wrap around deck. Aug. booked. E-mail for photo of house [email protected] Thanks
