What is a must see in North Dakota?

I spent almost 2 years in North Dakota (in Hatton, then Finley), and although I was happy to move on (the winters are just too brutal), I have to admit that the plains have a certain grandeur to them. All that earth and sky makes you feel so dang tiny and insignificant. Whoever, or whatever created us - you can sure feel it's presence in a place like that. All you have to do is take the time.
All in all, my time there was a positive experience and I wouldn't want to trade it.

Ken:...right on!!..i feel the same way.....the vast prairie has an awe inspiring beauty...and the people are genrally very friendly..went to school in Fargo and loved it..grew up in winnipeg Canada...and the flatlands are a vast underated sight to experience!...and i live on the coast in bc now...and still miss the flat!

I always thought the film "Dances with Wolves" did a great job of portraying the awesome vastness of the plains. Some of the long-distance shots of a single wagon and all that grass and sky were very cool, and really captured the majesty of the place.
