We just returned and from our reserach everyone directed us to Pat O'Briens. It was a nice place, but each bar area was kinda small and very crowded. Sorry, but we didn't care for the Hurricanes either. However, we did have dinner there and the food was very good.
We went to Howl at the Moon piano bar and had a great time. It is very lively with lots of audience participation.

Eat at Marisol's, then walk a block down the street to spend the rest of the evening at The Spotted Cat.
There is also a great jazz club next door to Jacque Imo's. Do you know which one that is, Tandoori Girl? I think it's the Maple Leaf, but not sure.

Cats Meow is a more interactive, more fluid, more entertaining karaoke bar. And I don't normally care for karaoke. THAT place is fun!
New Orleans Jazz Company is great, too.
So.....hartlyn.....what is your definition of great music?
