What does "dh" mean?

Good afternoon! Ok, I guess this is proof that Im new to message boards/forums-Ive seen "DH" many times and for the life of me I cant figure out what it stands for (seems to refer to a significant other or traveling companion)? Please, educate me! Thanks and have a great day!

Dear Husband. I've also seen it for other family members, too.

dear (or insert other, more appropriate, adjective beginning with D here) husband. You may also dd (dear daughter), dw (dear wife), ds (dear son), etc. when people travel with their families.

Or "Dumb Husband" if he doesn't want to go where you want to go.

How about 1st H or 1st W? FS = favorite son? UN = ugly nephew? PIASILWDMHOB: pain in the apse sister-in-law who doesn't mind her own business?

Hahaha!! I thought these acronyms were only used on those "women" forums like weddingchannel.com, theknot.com, etc., but I see they've been brought over to this forum as well.

To me it means double-header in baseball parlance.

Double header, SAnParis? I've always thought designated hitter.

BeachBum, not yet, but I'm going to share with her what I've been drinking, so you better get into "getting invisible" training, LOL.

"DH" means "I like to write in code; whip out your Little Orphan Annie Decoder Ring." This, "LOL" and such are the internet equivalent of a cliche--that which is to be avoided in writing.
