William H Macy (macey?) in Aspen, He's weirder looking in real life than in the movies and was with a very plastic looking blonde.

Had 2 celebrity sightings while at Disneyland (Anaheim, CA):

- in one of the shops on Main Street, a kid from the Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader DVD game was running around in there -- just a normal kid having fun at Disneyland.

- eating dinner at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen (Downtown Disney) on the upstairs balcony. Table next to us: Bob Saget and family (along with their very own Disney Guest Services Cast Member).

We've been having internet problems since Sunday night and I've been going crazy since Monday evening wanting to post this.

We took our daughter to O'Hare late Monday afternoon to catch her evening flight to Ireland on Aer Lingus. As she was in line to check her luggage, she noticed the couple from the movie "Once" standing a ways down the counter. After she was finished she pointed them out to me.

We saw them again just after our daughter went through security. No one else seemed to know who they were. But our daughter saw them again retrieving their luggage in Dublin and said that they were definitely recognized there.

I wanted so badly to tell them how much I'd enjoyed the movie and her speech at the Acacamy Awards. But really hated to bother them. Besides, my son said it "would be creepy"!

I saw Sophia Loren walking into the art museum when I was in Berlin and I saw Alice Walker (author) sitting at the gate next to me in Houston.

Hmmmm.....strange since we usually stay at the resorts here in Hawaii, but I don't recall seeing any celebrities....not a one.

But then again, I'm not really a people watcher anyone, and I'm sure most look much different in shorts, tee shirt and slippers!

I have run into many celebs, stars over the years. Most that I actually spoke to very boring, self-centered egotist that had severe superiority complexes. Several stood out as very cool and extremely down to earth people. I met Michael Strahan at an airport after the Giants Superbowl victory and he was very nice.Whitey Ford was a patient at a hospital I worked at.He was scheduled for a hip replacement when one of the nurses came and told us in the break room that this old baseball player was in the holding area.Being a huge baseball junkie, I asked who and finally went to see Whitey lying there sedated waiting for surgery. Initially I didn't want to bother him, but, I went over to speak to him and couldn't believe how funny and cordial he was. We spoke for about 20 minutes, he answered all the questions I threw at him, no matter how lame they were. He was one of my boyhood idols. I will never forget that moment. I saw Bob Seger at Metro airport in Detroit once, also very nice. But the coolest guy I ever met was Harrison Ford. What a guy! I had heard that he wasn't to friendly, but he was very pleasant with me, signed an autograph and spoke about his movies.Met Dan Marino at an Italian restaurant in Ft.Lauderdale, got his autograph, nice guy.

Since I travel a lot for business, I've seen several celebs in airports, but the oddest sighting had to be Kenny G in the Shanghai airport. Everyone thought I was crazy, but how could you NOT recognize him? The nose, the hair, the saxophone case...of course it's Kenny G! After we returned home, we discovered that he had indeed been in China performing at the closing ceremonies of the Special Olympics and I didn't look so crazy anymore. lol!

In the fall, we stayed at the Four Seasons in Las Vegas. We rode an elevator with James Carville, passed Eric Clapton in a stairwell and Maura Tierney was at the pool. We see pro football players and other athletes nearly every time we go to the airport.

Chuck Norris in northern Saskatchewan! He said he was on an extreme fishing trip. Very interesting. Very, very friendly as well.

Jamie Oliver at his London restaurant. When he heard he could speak with Canadians he came out and talked to us. Very fun and down to earth.

Sunday we waited in line in security at the Nassau airport right behind Matt Lauer and his family.

We've seen lots of sports players around the city and recently Dikembe Mutumbo at the Atlantis.

Most everyone says celebrities look much shorter in person - but in person you can't believe just how tall NBA players are.

That's for sure! A number of years ago, I used an ATM at O'Hare next to former NBA player Shawn Bradley (who is something like 7'6"). He literally was on his knees getting cash; I didn't notice him until he stood up when finished.

I see celebs all the time at home, but the only one I can remember seeing on my travels was years ago on my first trip to Paris: Maurice Chevalier strolling down the Champs Elysees, elegantly dressed and walking along with another equally elegant gentleman. It was just too perfect -- like a scene out of Gigi!

A woman approached him and asked for his autograph. He graciously said he did not give autographs but would be delighted to shake her hand, which he did. I took a picture, which to this day, is one of my favorites.
This incident happened shortly before he died.

Most famous person I've seen in the flesh is Tiger Woods nr Gynn Square in Blackpool. He was stepping out of a limo for some refreshment on his way back to his rented house after playing the Open at Lytham St Annes. Kind enough to autograph a £5 note which I still have.

Once bumped into the Spanish football international Xavi Hernandez in Barcelona. A nicer guy you couldn't wish to meet.

My daughter, who is in Florence with her girlfriends, just called to say she saw Lenny Kravitz walking down a street there today. He was being hounded by paparazzi.

Mick Jagger was on my plane when I first got out of college (a long time ago) and was nice. He was signing autographs and at one point said he would sign the rest on the plane. We didnt realize we wouldnt be able to get into 1st class!

I met Chuck Norris as well (not on a trip though) and you are right, a super nice guy which made me even a bigger fan.

I wish I'd look half as good when I'm 69...heck...I wish I looked half as good now.
