Westin Prince Waikiki or Pacific Beach Hotel
Can anyone tell me anything about these two hotels? We are going in September 2000.
Also, all the talk about the Entertainment card...I checked and most of the hotels will only let you reserve a room within 30 days of arrival. How did anyone else out there get a reservation using the card so far in advance?

Hi "K",
With the E. Card, how far ahead they let you reserve depends totally on the management of the particular hotel, and how busy they are, where they're located. The more popular a hotel is, and depending on high/low season (September is low), will determine when you can reserve. Then some of the hotels never impose that rule - like the Renaissance Wailea, and usually the Outriggers don't, except on Maui.
Haven't stayed at either of your hotels, but know that the Westin Prince Waikiki would be the more luxurious one BUT they have no lanais, but practically a "window wall" from which the views are supposed to be great. Now the Pacific Beach is still an excellent hotel, and would be more in the middle of things in Waikiki, if that matters.
Hope this helps!

We stayed at the Westin Prince(then, the Hawaii Prince) a couple years ago as a stopover to Maui. I wouldn't stay there if I really wanted to experience Waikiki. The pool is on a concrete deck, fenced in overlooking the ocean...really small. No balconies, nice rooms though...really for the business traveller...high Japanese clientele. They do however have a shuttle into Waikiki which can be walked, but a bit far. Pacific Beach is not luxurious but right in the middle of the action across the street and overlooking Waikiki Beach. The Hawaiian Regent also takes the Entertainment card...don't remember them being fussy about timelines and very reasonable...beside or almost beside the Pacific Beach.

Yes, we did stay at the Regent the first time we went to Maui, but I must admit that that was long ago when it was one of the places to be. Certainly, its location is excellent..a hop, skip and a jump to the Beach, with an okay pool of its own. It is probably B quality now...why don't you check out some of latest comments in a travel guide or two. Hope this helps!!

Whaaat? Is your post even responsive to the question? Arium and dmd do bring up a VERY valid pont about Lottie. Nothing personal, Lottie, just, CONSUMERS BEWARE! Now, as to your accusations of stalking????? That's really absurd...I think everyone here can take care of themselves.
