I can only comment on the Bedford which being 2 blocks from Grand Central is convenient.

I've stayed at the Park South Hotel and really liked it. Lots of restaurants in the area and a nice bar attached to the hotel, where there was a free breakfast in the mornings, a good happy hour and live music some nights.

$1900 for 5 nights?! That's mopre than I pay in rent for a month. No matter how long I live here, I will never get used to these kinds of prices (guess, I'll alway be a frugal Canadian at heart!).

Rebroc, I have a HUGE 3 br apartment in lovely historic Jackson Heights. You can have the unoccupied room with it's own separate bathroom Sept 18-23rd, for half of these prices if you really want to recoup this trip's expense Seriously, just email me. ([email protected])

The Bedford is conveniently located in midtown and would be considered the most central of the 3 you're considering. Reviews on tripadvisor had been pretty awful (and some not very nice photos) but recent reviews are positive and the newest travelers photos look dramatically better than the older ones, so maybe the place has been renovated/updated. I agree the location of the Park South is very good and the hotel itself if pretty nice. Their smallest room for 2 is very small though. The Milburn is a bit faded and worn, but the upper west side location is loved by a lot of people.
