West Palm beach is not exactly economy travel.(Think Corniches, valet parking, and LARGE jewlery) A great way to spend time is to drive through "Mansion Mile" along the coast and admire the homes.
Stroll down Worth Ave (I recommend you dress the part esp. don't wear jeans or cutoffs) great art galleries and jewelry stores.
The Breakers has a nice pool/beach area(may have to be hotel guest/member). Nice bike trail around the city, and great restaurants. ENJOY! We love it there!

Kiersten, you are describing Palm Beach, not WEST Palm Beach, which is what the poster was asking! However, be advised, Karen, that a lot of WEST Palm Beach is absolutely the pits and reminds me of some of the seedier parts of Los Angeles in many ways. So, do yourself a favor and stick with PALM BEACH only!! (Delicious food at the Four Seasons/Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach!)
