West Palm Beach
We are booked at the Radisson Palm Beach Resort for a week and would like tips as to great places to eat while there for the week.
My husband and I are early 50's professionals who like gourmet restaurants, nice things, beautiful beaches, shopping and sightseeing.
Also what's good to see in that area.
Are there any dog racing tracks in the area.
Should we take time to drive down to Miami while there or any part of the Keys?
All suggestions welcomed.
You my write me directly at the e-mail address shown if you prefer.
Thanks, Lois

I also just returned from Florida. For a not fancy but delicious breakfast try John G's in Lake Worth. It is also recommended on Fodors. Be prepared to wait in line, particularly on a weekend - while waiting they often come by with chocolate covered bananas, strawberries, etc. Delicious omelettes, french toast.

It'll be a two and a half to three hour drive just to the very beginning of the Keys (Key Largo)and you'll want to go farther than that. A day trip to Miami Beach might be wroth it if the weather is nice. Personally I'd settle for a day trip to Ft. Lauderdale with lunch or dinner at one of the good restaurants on Las Olas Blvd.
